The Ant and the Dove Moral story
The ant and the dove moral story tells the importance of helping ones who helped us when we were in need. The moral of this story is - help thy neighbor as thyself, though you may not know them for the first time.
There lived a dove on a tree on the edge of a pond in a forest. It was a good and kind one. One day, there happened to be a heavy wind. The dove was resting on its tree safely. Meanwhile, an ant that was walking on the edge of the pond fell into the water due to the force of the wind. The dove noticed it. The ant was struggling to make its way out of the water, but it could not succeed.
Then the dove thought to help the ant. It plucked a big leaf from its tree and caught it by its beak. It then flew over the water and dropped the leaf near the ant which is struggling to get out of water. Seeing this, the ant swiftly swam towards the leaf and got on to it. Then, due to the wind direction, it somehow managed to get on to the bank of the pond and thus saved its life. It later thanked the dove for helping it even though they were strangers till then.
After some days, a hunter came to that forest. He was searching for a good hunt. He then spotted the dove in its nest. It was healthy and fleshy. He thought to kill it and make his day. The dove sat on the tree peacefully unaware of the hunter's presence.
Meanwhile, the ant that was passing by the same route noticed this. It then sensed the danger that it was ready to attack its friend. Without a second thought, it bit the hunter so strong that he bled and gave a big shout. He dropped the gun and ran away from that place.
Listening to this, the dove got alerted and understood what happened. It then thanked the ant for saving its life. Thus, they both became good friends and lived so forever.
Moral of this story:
Even though we may not know others, we should help them to our capability. It will add goodness to us and save us during our tough times. The dove did the same. It helped the ant without anticipating a favor in return. But the ant helped him when the time arrived as a token of its gratitude. This is what we should remember from this ant and dove story. Thus, whenever you get a chance to help others, please do so. These good results will return to you when you need them. Not only that, whenever you help someone, do not anticipate anything in return. A good deed done without any expectation is the real good deed. If they thank you, it is well and good. If not, just be happy that you at least something good. Only then, the real purpose of helping others will be served.
